Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra Mini-Training
20 HOUR IMMERSION
NOTE: if you cannot make all of these dates, you can still register for the immersion. Recordings of the immersion will be available and emailed to all registrants.
The Yoga Sutra is one of the foundational yogic texts written by Master Patanjali. Learn to read and interpret the entire Yoga Sutra. In this course we will examine yoga as a school of thought and see where it fits within the historical context of Indian spiritualism (the six schools of Sanskrit literature). We will investigate the framework of yoga in the context of the 24 divisions of reality (from the Samkhya Karikas) and then take a deep dive into the most famous yogic text today - the Yoga Sutra of Master Patanjali.
We will examine this work from a unique perspective using 1000 year old dictionaries from Tibet as opposed to the more common use of western dictionaries dating back a few hundred years-- giving this interpretation a unique flavor and beautiful insights into how to make the verses practical and relevant while profoundly changing our reality.
