This course is for you if you have given up on normal methods to be happy and to love other people. This course is for you if you have realized that something within your mind and your heart must change in order to open to true unconditional love, and to a happiness that isn’t dependent on other people and situations. “Lo Jong”s are secret heart advices that are whispered from a spiritual teacher to a student during those difficult times when they are asked “what should I do” and they are often difficult to practice but extremely effective. This course is extremely difficult and is for the brave practitioners who are prepared to confront their own minds and have persistence to lay the foundation for a new world, brick by brick inside their own hearts.

This Course is based upon A Compendium of Texts on Developing the Good Heart (Lojong Gyatsa) by Muchen Konchok Gyeltsen (1300 AD). Lojong texts from the Compendium include: The Eight Verses (Tsik- gye Mar ) by Dorje Seng-ge (1044- 1123), the Wheel of Knives (Tsoncha Korlo) by Master Dharma Rakshita (1000 AD), Seven- Step Practice for Developing the Good Heart (Lojong Dun Dunma) by Geshe Chekawa (1101- 1175), The Advices of the Victorious One (Danlak) by Gyalwa Yang Gunpa (1213- 1258), and Freedom from the Four Attachments (Shenpa Shi- drel ) by Sachen Kunga Nyinpo (1092- 1158).

MEDITATION GUIDE

Supriya Jain is a strategist at an EdTech startup, and discovered Three Jewels on a lunch break. She has since become a daily meditator, curious yogi, and dedicated dharma practitioner. Supriya has 400 hours of meditation and yoga teacher training with Three Jewels. She has also completed a rigorous study of the 18 Foundational Buddhist Courses as offered through the Asian Classic Institute, which parallels the basic core of information that a Geshe (Doctor of Theology) learns at a Tibetan Buddhist monastery. Supriya teaches these courses regularly at Three Jewels. Supriya has been the Director of the studio's Karma Yoga work-study program, and currently volunteers in the management team. Her motivation is to help others find the discipline and depthless joy of a spiritual practice that delivers extra-ordinary results. She is indebted to Three Jewels for revealing her teachers.
