Master Debaters and 3-year deep retreatants Ben Kramer and Earle Birney are offering a 4-week course in traditional Buddhist debate THE DEBATE GROUND. This is an essential component of learning Buddhist dharma in the monastery and we're so happy to digitally host Ben and Earle, who are passionate and skilled teachers. Our hope for this training is that it evolves into a public debate ground after you are all trained- so we have a space for NYC to dissect and challenge spiritual beliefs and practices, for the sake of all beings and our collective progress as teachers and practitioners.

The course will be on Wednesdays from 7:30-9:00pm.

*The course is cumulative, so we strongly suggest taking all four weeks.

We suggest $30/class, so $120 for the entire course.

This course, once finished, will evolve into a regularly meeting debate club, which will be open to other students! 

This is a great way to digest and apply aspects of the practice that we're not sure about.
