Piercing the Veil of Illusion
with Logic
30-Hr Virtual Buddhist Training
This training leads to the completion & certification of ACI 13.
**APPLICATION DEADLINE: MARCH 10**
Led by Supriya Jain
According to Buddha, each of us has inherited beliefs about the world that prevent us from seeing the truth about ourselves and our world. These inherited beliefs are the veil that separates us from achieving true wisdom, and the happiness it brings. They take the shape of untrue thoughts, anxieties, self-judgments and internal biases that prevent us from loving ourselves, truly connecting with others and understanding our world. To lift the veil, we learn to pinpoint, isolate and destroy these untrue beliefs using Buddhist logic during inner debate (meditation) and traditional debating techniques between practitioners.
*Note: You can use this to win an argument with your partner ;-)
This Course is based upon the Commentary on Valid Perception (Pramanavarttika) by Master Dharmakirti (630 AD) with a commentary from The Key for Starting the Logic Machine (Rik- lam Trul- gyi Deamik) by Purbuchok Jampa Tsultrim Gyatso (1825- 1901). The Course presents the structure of Buddhist logic and the forms of Buddhist debate.

Supriya teaches these courses regularly at Three Jewels. Supriya has been the Director of the studio's Karma Yoga work-study program, and currently volunteers in the management team.
