This mentorship counts as an additional 70 hours of training for meditation teacher training, and upon completion you will receive a certificate from Three Jewels.

REQUIREMENTS
✅ Commit to a theme for the entire mentorship (Bliss, Focus, Chill, Goals, Inner Guide, Love, Smile not included: Wisdom, Self-Care, Purify)
✅ Meditate daily on that theme
✅ Journaling daily in meditation journal
✅ Biweekly meetings with mentor (60 minutes) there is a 1:1 form as a guide
✅ Attend a meditation class weekly
✅ Weekly Sunday Labs (10am-12pm) teach a 30 minute meditation and get feedback (biweekly) and dharma or business of meditation workshop (biweekly)
✅ Weekly Social Media post on any platform, this can include blog posts or Youtube videos
✅ Teach a virtual class weekly at a non-profit, and biweekly at Sunday labs Three Jewels will provide a place to teach.
✅ Public Graduation Class or Workshop for 45 minutes (will receive a feedback form)

MENTORS
Hector Marcel has been studying and practicing Tibetan Buddhism for 20 years. He is a passionate organizational change management consultant helping executives drive transformational change in their organizations through an emphasis on culture, people and service. He is a master teacher of meditation and eastern philosophy, linking ancient Asian ideas to modern western systems for individuals and teams. Hector serves on the board of the Asian Classics Institute, he is the director of the 108 Lives Project and is the president of Three Jewels (the Enlightenment Studio), a New York based studio dedicated to help people reach their highest potential through meditation, yoga, public talks and community outreach. He believes that meditation opens the door to every personal achievement. Hector is treasured by his students for his immense kindness, humor, and generous wisdom.
Supriya Jain is a strategist at an EdTech startup, and discovered Three Jewels on a lunch break. She has since become a daily meditator, curious yogi, and dedicated dharma practitioner. Supriya has 400 hours of meditation and yoga teacher training with Three Jewels. She has also completed a rigorous study of the 18 Foundational Buddhist Courses as offered through the Asian Classic Institute, which parallels the basic core of information that a Geshe (Doctor of Theology) learns at a Tibetan Buddhist monastery. Supriya has been the Director of the studio's Karma Yoga work-study program, and currently oversees the Three Jewels @Work program. Her motivation is to help others find the discipline and depthless joy of a spiritual practice that delivers extra-ordinary results. She is indebted to Three Jewels for revealing her teachers.
Santy Wang is a formally trained fine artist and professional creative problem-solver who is currently the Executive Producer at Nike's Retail Experience Design team. While maintaining a rigorous professional career during the week, Santy also maintains a consistent spiritual practice through the study of Tibetan Buddhism, daily meditation, and sobriety. Santy completed Three Jewels' 200-hour meditation teacher training in 2018 and regularly teaches the Community Meditation classes on weekends where the basic foundation
Rachel Webb is the Executive Director of Three Jewels NYC, a 501c3 non-profit Enlightenment Studio that specializes in the preservation and dissemination of authentic Buddhist teachings in a modern and approachable way. Rachel has trained simultaneously in yoga and mental health services for the past decade. Rachel completed her certification in 18 Buddhist Sutra courses in 2019 with the Asian Classics Institute. She has over 6 years of experience working with people diagnosed with serious mental illness assisting them in achieving wellness goals. She has taught meditation and Buddhist dharma for the past 6 years, and yoga for the past 4 years. Rachel is currently preparing to teach a 20 hour course on Buddhist philosophy with her longtime teacher Hector Marcel.
Javier Perez-Karam is a meditator, businessman, and long-time New Yorker. He runs a real estate team, and has taught meditation for over 5 years. Javier has been a dedicated student and practitioner at the Three Jewels for over a decade; he recently concluded a 6-year study of the 15 foundational Asian Classics Institute courses, and has completed over 400 hours of Meditation and Dharma Teacher Trainings in the Tibetan Buddhist lineage. Since becoming a father, Javier is even more motivated by the potential to help each person he meets to reach and develop the most perfect and expansive parts of themselves.
Stephen McManus is the Co-Director of Three Jewels. He was originally introduced to yoga and meditation as a child from his mother. After spending many years resisting all religion and spirituality, he found himself practicing meditation as a way to cope with anxiety and stress. After moving to New York City in 2012, he discovered Buddhism through his partner and began a deep practice of meditation and yoga. He completed a 108 hour meditation teacher training at Three Jewels and a 200 hour yoga teacher training privately with master yogini, Coco Korniczky.
Sarah Blackburn is an adaptable, highly creative curriculum developer and trainer with a proven record of transmitting complex ideas and fundamental skills to everyone from entry level employees on up to senior management. Innovative and reliable, with a deep passion for creating tools that are accessible to all types of learners, she’s a problem solver with a refined interpersonal capacity. Often, Sarah is the the right-hand woman and advisor for the front runners making a mark on their industry. She’s also an avid meditator, life long learner of philosophy, and volunteer Director of Three Jewels Kids, a children’s program at Three Jewels.
Earle Birney is an accomplished meditation teacher and practitioner, having completed the traditional 3 year, 3 month and 3 day silent meditation retreat. He has been a student of meditation, Yoga, and Buddhist philosophy for over 20 years. He is a graduate of the 7 year Asian Classics Institute (ACI) foundational program as well as the 7 year advanced study program. He teaches meditation and philosophy to a variety of students, focusing primarily on youth both local and abroad. Earle develops content for the Yoga Studies Institute and manages an international bi-annual children’s program for over 300 students. As well he mentors professionals in meditation, yoga and philosophy.
Miriam Parker is a visual and performance artist, and has been working professionally in the New York City dance and visual art world for the past 25 years. Miriam’s deep and steady Buddhist spiritual practice is seamlessly intertwined with her creative identity. Over the last 4 years, her personal practice has led her to complete over 30 weeks of solitary spiritual retreat. In 2019, Miriam completed a rigorous study of the 15 Foundational Buddhist Courses as offered through the Asian Classic Institute, which parallels the basic core of information that a Geshe (Doctor of Theology) learns at a Tibetan Buddhist monastery. Miriam has been teaching meditation in NYC studios, non-profit organizations, and corporate settings for nearly 10 years. She has been imparting yogic techniques and physical training, both individually and in group settings, for nearly 5 years. In sharing the gifts that her practice as offered her, Miriam has realized that each of us are the architects of your own worlds, and that the inner landscape is the soil that needs tending in order to bear fruit. Miriam is beloved by her students for her authenticity, wisdom, and embodiment of joyful effort. In 2020, Miriam plans to continue regularly teaching meditation and yoga, co-lead 2 spiritual retreats, and further explore her artistic expression. Miriam has completed 200 hours of Meditation teacher training through Three Jewels NYC, and 300 hours of Yoga teacher training through Jivamukti.
